Main Activity~60 min
Create a grid approximately 40x25 yards. Create a gate (about 8 feet wide) on each end line. Divide into two teams of four. Field dimensions emphasise passing and playing the ball forward early. Each team defends a small gate. A goal is scored by stopping the ball inside the gate along the end line. When a team reaches 5 goals, switch out players or teams. Alternatively, create an end line with cones and score by stopping the ball anywhere along the endline.
- •Offensive: maintain vision with head on a pivot; communicate verbally and non-verbally; use the full playing area for support angles; appropriate first touch; change direction and speed of play
- •Defensive: sound pressure/cover/balance principles; get players behind the ball; good communication
