10 min2–8 playersU8U10U12U14U16BeginnerDevelopingAdvanced

Two players compete 1v1 on a small pitch with four mini-goals (one at each corner). Each player defends two goals diagonally opposite and attacks the other two. The format creates constant decision-making about which goal to attack.

Main Activity~15 min

Set up a small square with a mini-goal at each corner. Each player defends the two goals at their end and attacks the two goals at the opponent's end. Play 1v1 continuously. When a goal is scored or the ball goes out, restart immediately with the defending player. Rotate players in and out every 2–3 minutes.

  • Attack the space quickly when you win possession
  • Use body feints and changes of direction to wrong-foot the defender
  • Defenders: stay between the ball and your goals; delay the attacker
  • Keep the ball close when dribbling in tight spaces
