Set up a 30x30 grid with one side playing to goal. Assign 3 defenders wearing alternate jerseys. Attackers begin with the ball. Place a keeper in goal. Attackers exploit their numerical advantage and finish with a shot on goal. Attackers move the ball looking for the open player and holes in the defence. Defenders try to break down the attack and gain experience in man-down situations. Defensive players complete a pass to the coach to end the attack. Coach then gives the ball back to the attackers to build the attack again.
- •Offensively: quickly switch the point of attack to unbalance the defence; play quick (1 and 2 touch); think ahead; attack at the appropriate times
- •Defensively: contain play and keep the ball in front of the defence; early pressure; do not allow space behind defenders
