TITLE: 3v2 Flying Changes

PLAYERS: 10 players

TAGS: U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U18, 9-a-side, 7-a-side, Advanced, Passing, Shooting, Defending, Small-Sided Games

DESCRIPTION: A fast-paced, dynamic drill with continuous 3v2 attacks on alternating goals. Teams switch between attacking and defending instantly, placing a premium on transition speed and mental attentiveness.

OBJECTIVES:
- Develop 3v2 attacking runs and angle of support
- Improve passing vs shooting decision-making
- Practice defensive shape and recovery runs
- Build mental attentiveness and transition speed

EQUIPMENT: Cones for centre markers, Full-size goals (2), Goalkeepers (2), Soccer balls (large supply per keeper), Alternate jerseys

MAIN ACTIVITY: Set up two goals facing each other 35-40 yards apart, with a keeper in each. Split into two teams; each team starts at a centre cone on opposite sides. Three players from Team Blue step out with a ball and attack; two Team Red players step out and defend. If Blue score, they get a new ball and attack the other goal. Two previous defenders (Red) step off, and two new Red defenders step on to defend the other goal. If Blue don't score, they step off. The two Red defenders become attackers; one additional Red player joins. Two new Blue defenders step out to defend the goal Red attacks. No pauses between changes — extremely fast-paced.
