TITLE: 1v1 Speed and Reaction Game

DESCRIPTION: A fun drill that focuses on quick reaction and speed, ending with a 1v1 to small goals. Players sprint around colored cones on the coach's command before competing for a loose ball.

OBJECTIVES:
- Improve reaction speed
- Develop sprint fitness
- Practice 1v1 attacking and defending

EQUIPMENT: Cones (two colors), Flags or cone gates, Soccer balls, Small goals (2)

MAIN ACTIVITY: Create a 15x25 yard grid with small goals on each end and a gate of cones/flags in the centre of the opposite sideline. Split into two groups on the same sideline. Mark one side blue, the other yellow with coloured cones. On the coach's command (calling a colour), players sprint around that colour cone, sprint through the centre gate, and the coach tosses a ball into the centre. Either player can attack either goal. Once a goal is scored or ball goes out, the next pair steps up.

COACHING POINTS:
- Encourage quick reaction from players
- Sprint hard around the cone and through the gate
- Battle for the ball and shoot as quickly as possible

PROGRESSIONS:
- Decrease field size for closer sprints and more compact footwork
- Increase field size for longer sprints and more space on the field
